The right size bra?
Hanah, 29

Q.
How do I know if I am wearing the right size bra?

A. There are many signs to wearing the wrong size bra, a few include: wires digging in, bulging over the top or the sides of the cup, the centre of the cup not resting on the chest bone (sternum), the back band too tight. These are the most obvious signs, however, the only way in which you will know for sure is by getting measured by a professional. Not only will you discover the right size, you will learn the signs of good and bad fitting bra's.

Be focused when planning a shopping trip, don’t get distracted or be over ambitious about how much you will get from one trip.

Don’t wear the wrong size clothes, if in doubt leave it out. Clothes too small will be unforgiving; clothes too big will make you look bigger.

Light reflects upwards. Make sure you wear your best colours closer to your face to give a healthier complexion. If the shade doesn't suit you it will make you look sallow.

Clean polished shoes are an essential finishing touch to your outfit. Don’t let your dirty or tatty shoes drag you down!

Too much black?
Sandy, 46

Q.
My friends tell me I wear too much black, I don't know if it suits me and I would like to wear more colour, but don't know how or where to start.

A.
A massive 70% of clothes sold in the UK are black! You are one of many.
A lot of people buy black because it's safe, it's slimming, it's a non-existent colour. But that's not always true.
A lot of people get stuck in a 'black' rut and end up wearing too much, getting used to the safety of it and it isn't the most flattering of colours for every tone anyway.
You will need to find the right shades of colour to suit your colourings. This doesn't mean you will have to ditch Black completely, but start by wearing a little colour to compliment the black (your best colours close to your face) and you will gradually become used to it, knowing what does and doesn't suit you, bringing you out of your black shell.
Keep Black for important/special occasions when you want to make a statement (i.e important business meeting) or gently wow your audience (i.e dinner party).
One of the best ways to start is to have a colour consultation to find exactly the right colours that suit you.

When leaving the house check and double check your appearance in the mirror at different angles; sitting, leaning and bending over.
Take a look at what other people might see when you do this!

Shop around for Jeans.
Finding a pair of
good fitting jeans is like the perfect fitting bra. Once you’ve found them they will last a long time. Make sure they don’t show that extra tyre, they fit snug around an ample bottom and most importantly – they are comfortable.

Don’t be afraid of accessories. Adding a small touch can make a big difference and cost less than a new outfit.

Avoid wearing a lot of make up. Remember – less is more. It’s not about quantity its quality that counts, rather than dishing out for new make up every week, buy a good quality brand where you need less, it lasts longer and is generally kinder to your skin.

Keep clothing clean and fresh looking, if your favourite shirt is dirty, don’t pull it out of the wash basket for one last wear before it is laundered, leave it be and find an alternative. To keep up appearances maintain the look of your clothes at all times.
